Here’s a Press release
which we’ve sent out to our Media contacts — you can send it to yours (or even better, send us
their emails and we’ll send it on to them — and keep them posted as the Caravan progresses.)
Report from Kamloops, British Columbia — (south-central BC).
“Last night (July 8) was very encouraging and inspiring with about 25 people, mainly a younger crowd. The event was about two hours long, we showed several video clips and IFCO staff member Manolo de los Santos delivered a message via Skype. Several people showed interest in participating in the trip next year.
The event was organized by BC Aid Network for Cuba, Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba, and Kamloops Socialist club.
Cuba Caravan Week
kristine, celebrate it with us!
Cuba Caravan Week is happening, and you can help Blitz the Blockade.
- Check the map and find an event near you.
- If there isn’t one, make one happen! Here’s resources, including some short videos for you to use.
- Too late? Never too late to educate your community about Cuba. Have a small event (it could be a few friends over for dinner, discussion and pass the hat); or you can extend the week and have your event later — why not? Just let us know about it so we can add you to the map or the Thank You List on our web site of people who have held events.
After the Week, over 70 caravanistas will travel to Cuba — without a license — in an act demonstrating their committment to freedom to travel and bring humanitarian aid to our sisters and brothers.
IFCO staff member Manolo de los Santos speaks (via Skype) at the BC event.
