Januar in der Riverside Church in New York City.

Message from Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo on behalf of the Cuban 5:

Greetings to the brothers and sisters in the International Action Center on their 20th anniversary of struggle.

We are honored to join with justice loving people from around the world in wishing Ramsey Clark our warmest solidarity on the occasion of his 85th birthday. His name has become synonymous with standing up for what is human and right in the face of all odds. He has never wavered in his legal and moral support of difficult cases such as ours.

Ramsey Clark has had the courage to stand up against his own government time and again when their illegal policies brought war and misery to nations such as ours. He has been a clear and consistent voice for peace and justice and this is something that the Cuban Five and all the Cuban people know well.

Over the years the work of Ramsey Clark has not always been in public view but we always know he is working and that we can count on his support. Speaking for myself, and on behalf of my four brothers and our families, we want you to know that what has kept us strong over these 14 years of incarceration in U.S. prisons has been the knowledge that we have people like Ramsey Clark on our side.

Hasta La Victoria Siempre

Help the International Action Center celebrate 20 years and counting of organizing against the wars at home and abroad.
Join us in celebrating the 85th birthday of our founder, former Attorney General Ramsey Clark.

The Jan. 12 gala will help raise funds for the ongoing work of the IAC. We are an all-volunteer activist organization but we have to relocate our office as of January 31. This is a major expense. Please help us continue to mobilize resistance to U.S. wars and growing repression at home.

Please support the gala by donating to help us continue our work or sending a message of greeting, at http://iacenter.org/gala
5:00 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres
6:00 p.m. Program & Dinner

Ramsey Clark says“In 84 years I have never celebrated a birthday. But I will on my 85th birthday because it celebrates the 20th anniversary of the IAC and helps assure its continued work.
I look forward to seeing you at the Gala.”
